I didn’t realize there was a name for this style omg!!!! Ive always seen this style and a simplified style of this and theyre so cool!
Sounds like u needa be really high to be a surrealist tattoo artist
This is perfect it’s about the artistry of the tattoo not a competition putting a time limit on someone’s capability
Dali not Dolly lmao
This guy says hes such an artist and loves Dali yet he doesn't know the melting clock has meaning? I mean come on ffs… "he was probably just going with the flow" smh
Usually tattoo artists don't criticize styles like water color or surrealism cause their old heads bringing you down… Usually it's more like hey styles like that are really difficult to make last for a long time. No one's telling you what to do, just that doing tattoos like that will more often fade more aggressively than traditional or whatever
so grateful to be near to be near Ocean Ave. it’s the only shop I go to. Joey & John are the most talented dudes out there
What do you call this kind of design?
whats the song playing at the end?
Finally some tattoo artists that don't seem like D bags.
Love it! I love surrealism I have an Inktober Sketchbook tour on my channel that has a lot of surreal art work if anyone would like to Check it out!
These Tattoos are very shitty… I'd never put this trash on me
All the tattoos are fantastic. Thanks for this vid!
dope tats, but where tf did david get that shirt? i need that shit
I dont take drugs, i am drugs
someone please give me the names of some surrealist tattoo artists in the UK?
Yikes
Recognized the David Cote from the thumbnail. they are so incredible to look at
I just learned about surrealism… This art style has been around forever. In some sense alot of tattoos are surreal. Cool video though. Always my favorite style in art, drawing, doodling
pretty disappointed at most of their very watered down views of surrealism, seems like half of them googled it before the interview, cool tattoos tho
Jesse Rix looks like Aesop Rock lol
I need a tattoo artist like this
Sorry but this shit is fucking ugly, you talk about surrealism but its hardly more than basic tattoo's done badly. Go look at H. R. Giger, or Robert Venosa. That's genuine fantastic hardcore surreal art. Your amateur bullshit is not worth being shown.
Making people look ugly , unwanted destroying their identity their skin ,yeah bla bla bla bla
You can put that shit on paper not on human, tattoo is not an art
Talk talk talk talk
Hey Beth they bee crying because the made mistake of having shit tattoos, how about porn tattoos no one have them yet bitch
I prefer illusion art over surrealism and feel it's a heightened sense of surrealism.
LSD
Very stunning work! Thanks for sharing.
Anyone have their insta's or something? I love these so much.
Can't stop myself noticing how most of those "artistic" punks like to paint some random permanent shit on their skin, yet their clothes and the ways they talk are utterly boring.
"It's like, why would the clock be melting, bruh? Don't think about it!" …amazing.
U gotta live surrealism!
I would love a tattoo by everyone one of these artists.
LSD
If I recall correctly, Dali used hypnagogic hallucinations for some of his work, and being familiar with parasomnia in general I'd say some dream like imagery are very interesting.
david is so cute yo
Wow these artists really have no idea what surrealism is about ?
Love.
I want a giant electrical transformer tatted to my arse. Yee gads…. why not Jackson Pollack….
Do a pointillism video
Anyone know where I can get the same shirt as David Côté ? It's freaking awesome
Circa 89/1990 I remember the death of SeaTramp ink and the birth of coffee house ink. Sometimes I reminisce about when ink was earned. Beautiful work even if I don’t like what’s happened I can appreciate the talent. Quiz time in which year did the first whiteboy get the very 1st tribal trampstamp ? Idk gotta ask snooki on Miami ink. I feel for the last traditional coil shops left. Everybody yakuza everybody OG. One day it’ll be done by vending machine or 3D tattoo printer. Wild how fast things are changing in our lifetime.
