Thank you!! This series is absolutely amazing!!
These are very useful lessons.
Thank you so much for your generosity humility and humour.
It is an honor to learn from you.
God bless.
Dear Mister Shiraishi
I have to thank you for the videos you made for as learners.
I saw three of them and learned more than in 15 month weekly Kurs.
So that I found you on YouTube I will follow the Kurs of yours.
Sorry about my English but I am not really used to it…..
With friendly greetings Rosmarie
Thank you!
This has been such a pleasure. And I gave myself a 7! I have finally completed the tutorial. It took a year (well, I did one or two things in between lesson one and lesson four), but the enjoyment will last even longer. "everybody" says it's the best I have done so far. I look forward to going back to other videos and reworking cherries or flowers or a face and see how much I have gained from this video that will help me in the others. Thank you very, very much. (I gave you an 8.) 🙂
I still have no idea how you did the glass. I guess I could find a tutorial on drawing one, but that kind of defeats the purpose. I wish you would watch the one you did on the glass.
Thank you Barry for your detailed step by step video's, now trying to get into painting and as far as i'm concerned you can talk as much as you like, i have watched many a video from various artist, mostly all good and am still deciding in which as you professionals would say medium to use, have now bought myself some watercolours and giving it a go.
Will be watching more of your video's for your great advice and tips thank you and it must be time for another cup of tea.
Thank you.
Thank you. I have 2 questions: a) what if you have a painting say 50cmx70cm, and you can't turn it around for gravity etc. b) the balance between controlled and looseness, tight, cramped and overworked?
You are the best watercolor teacher on YouTube! I love your videos and your total honesty!
Thank you very much for this series of video's Barry, must say that I've learned quite a few things, So let's do away with the 7/10 and make that a 10/10. I do have one question if you don't mind, would there be a bit of reflected light from the white shelf on the shadow side of the apple.?
Love your tutorials. I've learned a lot. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. Also love your dog and goldfish and yes you should paint Geraldine and her friend and please make it a tutorial😀
Hi, was that a Chinese brush you were using for the background?
Your talking and rambling are essential to the quality of your tutorials otherwise you are just demonstrating rather than teaching. 😊
watched all 4 videos and love the technique you used to make a fan brush. also wished i would have watched this before i started my paint by numbers just for the wash would have made it so much better, but now i know how to fix it …thank you.
Thank You Barry. I have learnt so much from watching these still life videos. You are very generous with your skills. 🙂
Love your tutorials. I would have done the upper wash upside down so the bead runs toward the top where there are no objects. Would that work?
Excellent video; I like the slow detailed approach.
Thanks Barry I did survive all 4 parts, loved it
Don't ever appologize! Can't wait for another video, please keep them coming!
Thank you Barry. I've just watched your 4 videos and enjoyed them all very much. I feel that I have learned a lot. Thanks again, Clive
J'aime beaucoup vos explications mais j'ai manqué les 3 premiéres,j'aimerais tellement pouvoir les obtenir.
Merci
never mind you slowing your heart rate down for tweaking the glass rim…i stopped breathing for you
I'm an absolute beginner, and since I'm 74 I may have left it a little late. However I have learned so much from you, please accept my thanks for the time you've devoted to producing these videos.
Now….back to the cherries!
Another brilliant video, Barry! You're a very patient teacher, and very insightful and very caring, you actually consider the confidence and growth of the students… <3 I truly adore your style of teaching. <3
I have just subscribe to your channel after watching your lesson on the apple and the grapes with the glass of water. I have been painting for years now and I have did it with oils, acrylics, pastels, pencils but since couple of moths now I have started to try the watercolor and I have found this teaching very inspiring to me. Thanks for your lesson and I will be watching and learning from you "maestro"… thanks.
HI Barry Enjoying this series very much. Have not picked up a brush in so many years I forgot so much. Loving the relaxed atmosphere, cuppas and making mistakes that no-one sees 🙂 thats the best of online classes Plus I can re-watch which you just cant do with live classes. Thanks I'll take the chair that's waiting for me…. 🙂 Cheers Tan
Hi Barry, thank you for # 4. Love your tutorials. I have a lot to learn and you are the guy to teach me. More, more and more…Please
You are an awesome teacher, from what I have seen and heard. Pull a little from Bob Ross–though I do appreciate how you academically explain your mistakes. Incorporate them, and solve them,"Happy mistakes." My fault May be, I'm a Yankee
