When I lucked out and got access to the GPT-3 API from OpenAI this summer, I immediately set about teaching it Dungeons & Dragons. This collection of wizard character backstories is a sample of output from the LitRPG Adventures Workshop which is powered by GPT-3 API, currently the most powerful language model on the planet.

I'm fine with paying a fixed, hefty monthly fee for a service, but an arcady "pay-as-you-go" system will have players be fretting over how much of this currency they have left with each passing turn, and that would greatly diminish the fun.
