Monster !!!!!
Came searching for a product photography lens, stayed for the knowledge on lighting and reflections.
It's so nice to actually see, in action, the difference small movements of the light source and reflectors can make. Also, wow, this was made 6 years ago?
Great video, shows the value of flags better than anyone on YouTube. What are those chemical stands called that are like mini C stands complete please?
Very informative, I have my first product shoot tonight.

Whenever I need a little inspiration I just watch one of your videos and I am back up and running.
Thank you so much for this, absolutely brilliant. May I ask why you use halogen lights instead of either strobe or incandescent daylight bulbs (although I do like the WB on this video). Watched a lot of your channel and you certainly take a lot f the mystery out of photography, and as the old adage goes: I bet you've forgotten more than a lot of the so called experts on YouTube know.
So much information, thank you so much.
Thought you were John Cleese for a moment. Haha.
Thank you so much for sharing these tips. It was incredibly informative (notice I didn't say illuminating).
Thx, very usefull!
I'm involved in littlebit sophisticated job. To make product shots virtually, in 3D. I found this masterclass very inspiring and eye opening. Thank You!
How can I take pictures for items with so much glare. for it not to bounce back so much light
Hi +Phillip McCordall – would you mind telling us how you attached the fishing line to the headphones?
BTW I love your videos – they are very content dense – lots of really useful info without much "fluff". Thanks.

Thank You! I'm a 3D designer. After all, this is all connect.

Absolutely brilliant tutorial Phillip, i often do a lot of product photography and this is just great insight into your knowledge and experience. So thank you for taking the time to share it!
Using mirrors is good because you don't have to use as many lights you can just redirect the light source with the mirrors
This is how to pro's do it, amazing
This is so helpful and you're a great teacher!
vous etes fantastique!!!!! merci pour cette video
Thanks Philip! This is the first of your videos I found, and I am impressed. I've been working with products for almost two years and am always trying to improve my results. I learned a lot!
Thank you for making this video Phillip. I'm a designer with a keen interest in product photography so it's really helpful to me. I have a question – to reduce flare in the shot, would a lens hood do the same job as the black card? – or do you use both? Thanks! Dan.
Brilliant
