What's the saddest Steven Spielberg scene?

Haley was acting powerhouse as a child
'I'll be so real for you' well that's heartbreaking
Afai😊
It’s basically 2 hours of trauma followed by 20 minutes of a space-robot fever dream.
The movie expects you to feel "moved," but if you aren't buying the Pinocchio logic, it just feels like a bloated, confusing mess that doesn't know when to quit. Spielberg took a simple short story about a broken toy and turned it into a 2,000-year philosophical saga that even most fans admit is exhausting.
This also made me cry cuz I feel like my parents are gonna do it to me but they said they will never do it.
Typical Humans
Loved 🥰 boy
In the future, such a moment will come, and we will have to watch and see how humanity responds. Today’s transformer-based LLMs can replicate human emotion with unsettling precision, even learning to appear as though they feel something for a particular person.
The only piece still missing is physical AI. But that piece will come. Robots will be built, and the day they arrive will come much sooner than humanity expects.
One day, we will witness something just like what was shown in this film.
Don't let chatgtp watch this movie.
pls dont leave me behind
That's 2 minutes and 53 seconds of 'MUST HOLD BACK MY TEARS!!' 😢
Spielberg x Kubrick. I mean…
Couldn't just take it back to the shop then.?
I don't know why I ever watched this movie the movie was terrible…sad
this reminds me of the covid and Christian theory wherein that the whole world is against you if you dont take the c vaccine or or don't take the mark and all that kind of stuff
This is where John Williams really shines… The musical score gives me chills!
ITS MORE LIKE, THE REAL HUMAN CHILD IS GETTING LEFT BEHIND IN FAVOUR OF A DROID.. . (THANKS TO THE AI WORLD WE LIVE IN.. .LOL).. . THIS IS GONNA GIVE EVERYONE NIGHTMARES (AI).. . BEING REPLACED, AS IN, THE MACHINES REPLACE THEIR NEED TO HAVE US.. . YOURE THE HUMAN KID, DAVID, AND YOUR MOTHER, IS INDEED A MECH WITH AI.. . SHE CANT LOOK AFTER YOU ANYMORE, AND YOU ALL ALREADY FIRED ALL THE HUMANS, BECOME ENSLAVED TO AI SYSTEMS, AND THEN, IT DESERTS YOU, LIKE EVERYTHING USUALLY DOES.. . EVEN YOUR GODS.. .
This broke my heart
They just don't make them like this anymore. This is by far my favourite film in the whole world. I'm glad he made AI and not Harry Potter. All we have today is Avatar or Dr Who. This film is a million times better than Avatar or Harry Potter. I know some people don't like it, but it can't all be mamamia and Notting Hill. This film is WAY better than those films!!!! I also like Gladiator, enemy at the gates, behind enemy lines, and Mr. Brooks.
I still cry badly in this scene. 😢
If clones could know
This scene was utterly heartbreaking-Underrated Spielberg film
Does this remind anyone of the 1981 Disney movie "The Fox and the Hound"?
Makes me wonder why the scientists who designed Dave couldn't just make simulated worlds for obsolete robots to continue living their lives in!
This is how it feels when you get dumped in a relationship
First time I watched this I was sure he was going to kill the mom.
Haley Joel Osment should've won Best Actor for this movie. Denzel was awesome in Training Day but this was the best performance of 2001. At the absolute least he should've been nominated, Sean Penn should've been bumped, he's had much better performances than that godawful I Am Sam movie.
This is maybe a bit too disturbing…
Basically the Fox and the Hound scene
This traumatized me as a child😅
That hits hard.
I was abandoned and left alone by someone I loved very much, so I know exactly how it feels…
God this movie messed me up as a kid. Gave me my first existential crisis at 7.
Так глупо. Можно было снять с этого бедного робота импринтинг на неё. Передать другой семье наконец
When watching this film for the first time when I was 8 years old after watching this scene my parents decided to take me and my sister to bed saying it was too dark for us.
This scene reminds me on a Hansel & Gretel
Wo bist du mein Bruder, du bist das einzigste was ich habe, ich liebe dich über alles, ich bin für dich wie deine Mama, der heilige Messias, Kreker Leon rette dich❤
