Abstract Art Ep.1 Orange Jug Still Life

Easy Abstract Art for you to do at home… called Orange Jug Still Life. This video will show a simplistic, abstract drawing, featuring a still life with a jug, a vase with some stylized flowers and a little teapot pot of sorts.

There is nothing complicated about this drawing: just some basic outlines accentuating some diverse, various objects. Then some random lines across the page that cross each other. And then, start at one side and colour in each alternate ‘block’ till the whole picture is finished I added some extra colour to give it a very ‘sixties’ look.

We stop the drawing at various stages in the clip to take some ‘insert’ photographs… These inserts are to illustrate what each completed stage looks like. Many times somebody would not want to add colour, but are happy to keep it as minimalistic as possible. I’m a colourist, so I like to play with colour. You might prefer the black and white phase and that is just great too . Besides, I live in Thailand where everything is a sea of colour and added colour just seems so natural to do.

This artwork can easily be replicated, perhaps using some outlines of other objects. For me this is a hugely rewarding exercise and I hope that you will try it also.

The whole point of this channel is to illustrate to novice artists that art is nothing to fear, that art is only in the eye of the beholder, and that effective pieces of art can be produced using ordinary materials like whiteboard markers, permanent markers, coloured pencils etc.

As always, we also try to add great music to our clips, making this not just a visual experience, but also a clip that you can listen to without even looking at the screen.

You can use this art as a gift card, in a frame, as framed art, or laminate this artwork as placemats, or even just do this art as a meditation. There are no rules. Use this clip only as an inspiration. Should you find certain places in the clip too fast, slow down the playback speed of the clip and mute the music.

Small blurb about us: there are only two of us involved in Ginos Art – myself (aka Gino, the artist) and Jay, the photographer and editor. We live in Thailand and will sometimes produce art reflecting bits of the Thai culture. We hope that you enjoyed this video clip and if you did, please Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe to our channel.By doing this, helps us to grow and allows us to give you more exciting art.

Stay Blessed.
