Programming note: I will be away for a few weeks for the holidays and so Dec. 19 will be my last post of the year. Until then, there will be many more clips of the kids dancing to the biggest hits of the day on American Bandstand!
On the Rise(rs): Today it was Frank and Peggy’s turn alone on the riser. On Saturday another popular couple will have their turn to shine….and they get to dance to the #1 song of the day!
Next week: a tribute to two music super-stars that we lost in 2018….One you know well and the other you might not think of right away. The songs in both clips were top 10 hits!
The week after: a couple of rare Bandstand Christmas clips and the 2018 “finale” where you’ll see our favorite 60’s dancers groovin’ to “The Box Tops” with some cool visual effects and another popular couple dancing alone on the riser.
