For anyone interested in getting (back) in shape.. give the Super Bowl XV soundtrack a shot while hiking. Moves you!!
Eagles assistant Dick Coury: "AW RON!!" after Jaworski overthrows an open Rodney Parker in the corner of the end zone in the 2nd quarter.
"on third down..the eagles chances went from bad to worst".facenda super bowl 15
And then Ted Hendricks blocked Tony Franklin's field goal attempt, causing the Eagles to come away TOTALLY empty there……
"No player in the history of pro football has blocked more kicks than Oakland's Ted Hendricks, number 83. However, none was more important than this one. For it confirmed that Oakland was winning pro football's world championship in the most convincing fashion possible."
"It's on the bounce, it's on the carpet, it's a wild melee, the Raiders have the football. Holy Toledo" -Bill King voice of the Raiders.
Anyone who ever said "One game cannot tarnish a great season, never lost a Super Bowl!"
1980 Chargers
Such a creepy synth track. Early-mid 80s imo was the best era for Mel films music
Kinda sounds like that Dr. Who song.
Close up of Dick Vermeil walking towards the locker room muttering obscenities after the blocked FG. I wonder if anyone can read his lips?
Sounds like Pink Floyd!
"On 4th down Eagle fortunes went from bad to worse."
This Raiders team always SEEMED, anyway, to be the oldest team ever to win a Super Bowl. Plunkett, Gene Upshaw, Ted Hendricks, Jim Otto and Mark van Eeghen, among other grizzled vets who made significant contributions to this unlikely world champion. And this was after Al Davis made the midseason trade of Ken Stabler to Houston for Dan Pastorini, who only lasted five games at QB.
The Eagles couldn't do anything right in Super Bowl 15 against the Raiders
