I agree that the idea that the mind will be totally explained in reductionist terms is a faith based position. Chalmer's famous argument is in regards to philosophical zombies, which you may heard of.

It seems to me that anger operates mind first. The brain seems to react to an angry mind. It doesn't make sense to me that my brain gets angry first and emerges as me thinking that I'm angry about something.
