Art History: Painting Inspired by Helen Frankenthaler!

ArtSphereInc

Join ASI Teacher, Laura, and learn about the works of Helen Frankenthaler and how she uses soak-stain techniques to create paintings such as “The Bay”. In this lesson, we will be discussing the emotions associated with colors and how to express our feelings onto paper. Students at the end will reflect on the painting they have created and identify any shapes/figures they might see. While this lesson develops the skill of both self-reflection and expression, it also serves as a fun activity for students to realize that color can be an art form as well.
