ART UPDATE- Horse watercolor painting, Dachshund Portrait, Custom Wedding Portrait – What I'm Up 2!

rachelsstudiodotcom

I made this video to go live on Facebook, where I post my daily art adventures. I show you everything I’m working on this week, which includes custom watercolor commission paintings of a horse, a dachshund dog, and a wedding portrait in Scotland. I will be posting more in depth video tutorials on most of these paintings in the coming weeks.

  1. Those are some awesome WIPS you have going there…beautiful commissions once they are done!!!…I don't really make new year's resolutions….but I do want to try and use time blocking more…for my work and everything in between…I did it last week and I "SEEM" to achieve more…let's see how long it can last and if this blocking can be a regular thing…I saw so many artist friends using it, so figured I'd give it a shot…which for me…also I need to focus, so hopefully it will guide that area too…lol… XOXO

  2. Would love for you to share how you work towards you New
Year’s resolution to focus! So very challenging to do, as if drawing and painting isn’t challenging enough! Love all your beautiful WIPS. Do you start and finish them according to a commission schedule? I am not a professional artist, but I go down so many rabbit holes, and have so many sketches and half paintings and pictures that I want to paint and sketch that are scattered and on a bed in my “studio”, or on hold in a sort of mental queue. I don’t seem to have time to get much done due to my rather limited experience, technique, questionable talent(?) and addiction to utube painting and drawing tutorials! So glad I have discovered YOUR channel. You have a calm, encouraging, and frankly adorable instructional presence. (I’m allowed to say “adorable”. I’m old enough to be your mother for sure, maybe even your grandmother!)LOL

  3. Good day, should have reworded comment before sending. Do you classroom teach at home or away? Is there indication of paint added later?

  4. Thanks for reply, and clever play on word. Do you teach other than with media? Any time lapse indication on painting with later touchup?

  5. Good day! Thanks for inside look at thinking and planning a pro does before, during work. When I started i would throw paint around with little planning and have poor results. Appreciate time taken to show better techniques. Take care….
