2. One of my all time favourites! Spielberg and Kaminski are visual geniuses. A gift to the medium of cinema; and to all of us who appreciate it! 🙂

5. It's quite interesting how unfairly this movie has been criticized by not obbeying to the Kubrickian flair. If we base on facts, Spielberg have stated that he tried to be faithful enough to the source material created by Kubrick; so people have nothing to argue against that matter. I think films don't have to be stranded or depend to an outstanding final act. A.I. Works on many other levels: The movie is built through statements, myths of a near future, on basic aspects of the human condition. this film posseses the enough details, allegories, metaphores, glimpses for a thought-provoking piece of art. Spielberg along with Kaminski were the right filmmakers to reach the feeling; to portrait a bleak future within a masquarade of innocence and love,  to find connections along with animated beings with the lack of sense of their  own existence, that find their purpose by settings previously given. The film grows through commitment of asking for answers to questions that will time help you  through but it could never eliminate the never-ending why. So at the end, the best illusion is the perfect reality for us to take, an artificial one. So, it hurts sometimes how underappreciated this film really is.
