Artificial Intelligence Colloquium: Accelerating Chemistry with AI

DARPAtv

Speaker: Dr. Anne Fischer, Program Manager, DARPA / Defense Sciences Office

Today, synthetic chemistry requires skilled experts working to discover, make and test new molecules. Current approaches are mired in slow, iterative design/test cycles with poor reproducibility and scalability, relying heavily on human intuition and domain expertise. DARPA is exploring how AI can help automate traditionally human-centric efforts to accelerate innovation in chemistry. This talk will focus on how AI is being applied to develop new approaches to automate and accelerate discovery, optimization and production of high-performance small molecules.

  1. You will never get non living molecules to arrange themselves into living reproducing cells, and if you do, Which you won't but if you do, it will have the genetic diversity of a grain of sand, Zero. You will never be able to do it, RNA Markers in Clay and adding to it to get it to grow to virtually nothing will never get a multilayered 4 dimensional DNA. Inserting genetic material that was taken from somewhere else via a Virus is not creating anything new on top of what was already there, I wish you luck and God Bless your work related to curing disease, because we live in a decaying world since Adams Fall, God Bless 🙂

AI will be helpful but it will never have conscious thought where it can deliberate on a problem on an abstract imaginative level, That is what AI will never understand enough to write any code as complex as the codes in cells to make usable parts from non living molecules, not even a computer working on the Atomic level would be able to work out or develop consciousness, Consciousness is required for true problem solving Intellectual input is required to create life, Have fun trying I think you will need about 50,000 generations to just scratch the surface, but any disease killing drug you develop along the way all good on you 🙂
