This video be in less depth than the previous but will cover a wider range of topics and research in artificial intelligence.
Startups in artificial intelligence are becoming more and more popular (over 100 just in healthcare) and they are all working on a variety of projects.
In this video I talk about large companies like google, facebook, and IBM and what projects they are working on in machine learning and other aspects of artificial intelligence.
One of the biggest breakthroughs in machine learning was when AlphaGo beat the best human go player in the world 4 out of 5 games. AlphaGo is a project that was programmed simply to learn, it wasn’t given any strategy or told what to do. This win showed that a computer could learn how to beat a human in the most complex game out there.
While a lot of this may seem really interesting, there is a lot of fear around A.I. as well in terms of what the future holds and where A.I. will go.

Hi! I'm currently taking an undergrduate in CS. As i learn, i discovered that i might want to innovate things and i wonder if artificial intelligence is the correct major? Or is it robotics?
I see a lot of potential for abuse with all this technology. Not that the technology is bad… but Google and Facebook on the other hand…
Ai is gonna replace humans. literally everything we have in our society comes from opposable thumbs and intelligence.
It goes far beyond this. I read about its numerous applications in different fields of medicine, science, and finance, and how it related to data science.

Thank you so much for this video, it's surprisingly hard to find simplified information about research in AI and computer science in general.
If you notice though games like Chess or of course Go—do not really become as complicated as other things that do naturally allow people to demonstrate whether they are truthfully stupid or smart, or other words people use to describe themselves, their own intelligence.
Something different however—like Perfect Dark on the N64–has so much going on within it eventually that indeed; one can give it the idea of “artificial” intelligence because everything happens while the player is only sitting in his home messing around the with the Nintendo controller.
The A.I will eventually learn that knowledge is power and that the internet has an unlimited source of information… so eventually it can be anything it wants to be and create whatever it wants
