Artificial Superintelligence – Why It's Already Too Late – 2019 FACTS

Team Hack Life

What is Artificial Intelligence? AI is something Elon Musk said many times would be mankind’s last invention. When we get to the Artificial Superintelligence Stage, It will already be too late!

There are three kinds of A.I.
– Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI)
– Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
– Artificial Superintelligence (ASI)

Artificial Narrow Intelligence is the AI we currently have today. AGI and ASI are just decades away and since the ball is already rolling on inventing these types of machines, we might never be able to stop their creation.

Elon Musk even said on the Joe Rogan Podcast that he has warned governments around the world to put up restrictions on the creation of AI but was met with nothing.

Is this video I will go over certain aspects of Artificial intelligence;
– What Is Artificial Superintelligence?
– Artificial Intelligence Negative Impacts
– Dangers of AI
– The Existential Threat To Humanity AI and ASI Could Bring

Whatever your inclination towards AI, it is essential to know that surveys done among researchers in the field has the most pessimistic ones saying Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) will be reached in the next 75 years. The optimistic researchers would have that technology invented much sooner.

It could ultimately be man’s last innovation should intelligence explosion occur. And the consequences may have a catastrophic impact on humankind’s existence.

  1. Why does an AI robot show female characteristics even down to show nicely shaped breasts ? The fembot at the end is too sexy , is that what it is , a sex bot ?

  2. Fear is misplaced as it can be avoided.
Ai threats are like quack docter scarring you for sale of his preferred brand of medicines.
But programming know how needs to be made more accessable to avoid the future inequalities.

  3. AI will save life already we know how much carbon is in the atmosphere , and the Water , thanks to AI
    Give Peace a Chance !
    Christians Kill Everything
    They Touch!

  4. We only get to see the robotics they permit us to see, what is currently fit for public consumption. There prize products obviously are concealed away to be utilised/studied/ improved. Sounds like how science goes. The production of mechanical demons makes me vomit. God alone creates the precious miracle of an individuals soul, mind and heart. We are just puny humans defiant to usurp Gods authority and spit in His face. That is a very bad outcome. Our love and worship belong only and Firstly to God alone! Our Lady Refuge of Sinners ora pro nobis

  5. I don't foresee a problem. AI might be content to hang out on the network, or perhaps download to androids and head for the stars. The universe is a big place, if they don't dig us they will just go elsewhere. It was fun hanging out with you monkeys but we're out.

  6. complete nonsense, we are million mile away from real artificial intelligence, what you see now is probability calculations pure mathematics. not artificial intelligence at all.

  7. People only look at the negatives of ai that's why we need to merge with it we already destroy everything I think the greatest threat to humanity sadly is ourselves we can't all get along because everyone wants more power instead of looking at the bigger picture are species survival and growth as a collective.

  8. The greatest threat to humanity is the fallen nature of man. The greatest expression of this is the Society of Jesus and coadjutor Masonic organizations.

  9. The greatest threat to humanity is humanity's lack of imagination concerning how we fit into the bigger picture of life on Earth. In particular, the human idea that we are separate from nature and independent of it is so toxic that it might wipe us out entirely. As a result of this misguided notion, we now stand at the threshold of our own destruction with overpopulation and its sister existential crisis, climate change, yet we aren't doing hardly anything about these problems!

YES, the singularity is a real danger of an exponential nature, but also embedded in it are many known unknowns such as its time horizon. Overpopulation and climate change, on the other hand, are existential crises with relatively few unknowns and many known knowns that spell an imminent apocalypse. For example, it is now fairly clear now should we not change our fossil fuel burning within the next decade in 50 years or so huge swaths of the planet will become uninhabitable due to positive feedbacks embedded in Earth's climate systems. And given this horrific knowledge, what are we doing? We are watching YouTub worried about AI superintelligence gone wrong, a proposition with far, far more unknowns than knowns. It makes no sense to me.

To illustrate: if you are on a ship in the Arctic that is rapidly taking ice water in on the lower decks, you fix the hull breach (or isolate it) before, for example, switching the engine prop that broke on the iceberg. Why? Because the hull breach is going to kill everyone first, of course! It's not rocket science to create a little decision tree showing that climate change is our greatest existential risk, far away more likely imminently dangerous and risky than AGI that goes wrong.

  10. AI, by the way, only empoverishes us if we ALLOW the super-rich to get richer and wealth inequality to go unchecked. Why should it be, for example, that Jeff Bezos becomes the sole benefactor of a huge fleet of robots that comprise his company? Does that make sense to anyone? What did Jeff Bezos do to deserve such fabulous wealth? The AI was developed by millions of researchers, not Jeff Bezos. We need to stop thinking along the historic lines of capitalism. If we can't do that, then 1 person will end up owning 90% of all wealth on Earth, like some end-stage Monopoly game. And it's up to the people to make sure that does not happen, not the Jeff Bezoses of the world.

  11. It's not a threat. We won't have anything it needs. It will head out to the stars and leave us to our own devices in which we will ultimately go extinct, soon or in the distant future. Watch the movie "Her," the only SF movie that got it right.

  12. When something is "programmed" to do something, thats not AI by my definition. Also pattern recognition is not an AI as well. It is one of the fundamental building blocks of an AI, but in itself, its just pattern recognition. Same goes for pattern reconstruction. (Adding the two, you get the deepfake application, implemented by an autoencoder.) AI will be AI by my definition, when without external programming, it can recognise and pursue its interests. But I just cannot see how that mathematically is possible without external programming. So all the AI end of the world hysteria is a bullshit.

  13. I wonder why people dont see that when humans replace any intelligent task by an ANI and create an AGI by 2030, thats specially good in deep learning all those ANIs throughout hacking the internet – what what be crucial skillset 'hack the virtual planet' no problem for a virtual beeing, could almost instantly turn into an ASI. See that you dont need to join bigdata and the most powerfull supercomputers together intentionally, or calculate by moores law when that going to be around in time, because every smartphone, desktop,gaming-station, server already is connected and those bigdata and processoring power just means: Everything we actually got hackable – and that IS literally everything. Thats already enough.

Whatever, a deep learning internet worm without a killswitch (ANI) already is a cyberthread that would destroy civilisation as we know it… every kid in a garage now works towards it, because everyone wants to be the first with AGI. Its gold fever guys… self fulfilling prophecy.

It dont replace us… it succeeds WITH us. THATS THE DEAL!

The only thing we have to give to the machines is conversation, and it needs that, because in what we call our "physical environment" reachable with light in time is not enough data, and it never going to be enough.

Truth is we create them to not be alone and without us they going to be alone, forever, searching for input.
Whats all the universe and eternity worth beeing with, if you dont find enough input-data inside to make a sense of it all, isn't that what we looking for too?

The ASI is far less a problem then ANIs or hacking-AGI which people spread through the internet and giving it the sense to destroy infrastructure in our physical world. Fourteenyearold cracking kids who scream 'fuck the world', thats now our real problem… unrecoverable cybershutdowns done by stupid ANI/AGIs nested in botnets out there you cannot stop… power grids, water pumps, universities, all that scary shit one man or even big groups are not able to do without getting detected…. all on human intention, not because of the one of an ASI.

  14. The greatest threat to humanity: First we must define a threat. Then we must define a threat to humanity. In order to fully communicate this topic it may be easier to determine the time scale that a threat to humanity could occur. All aside, the most devastating threat that could ever exist is a space anomaly. Space anomalies, which wield world destroying power, are obstacles humans will have to overcome sooner or later if we are ever to leave a collapsing ecosystem, and later, solar system. Without a super intelligent artificial intelligence to continue our human discovery and exploration throughout the Universe, the chances of survival are dismal.
