Very cool Tim! I like the idea of how you're using time as a "medium". Over time as your copper ages it will still provide an interesting background. Do you ever use aluminum? I am starting a series of oils on aluminum and have been trying to find out the process for prepping the panel.

incredible i didn't even know you could paint on copper, nor would i ever of thought of it. looking at your art work, its really stunning, i really love the winter scene with tree's, amazing, your so talented. now you have left me wondering how do you treat the surface of the copper to prepare it to hold and accept the paint, without it washing or slipping off? this is the first time ive ever heard of some thing like this before, it was interesting, i looked in to it, because im a jewellry maker, looking for idea's. Tim, thank you for this video. Will the copper stay in its original color tone? Does it need to be sealed for example, or painted first to maintain the original copper color? In other words you mentioned that it takes 20 years to get the patina look. What should one do to keep the original look and feel of the copper to make it archival in a sense? Thank you!
