Blaqk Audio – Semiotic Love (with lyrics)

Braulio Montelongo

This is Semiotic Love, from the album Cexcells released in 2007 by Blaqk Audio. Enjoy! All the live pictures are from AFI live in Austin, TX on November 22, 2009. I know Hunter and Adam aren’t in Blaqk Audio to those who are wondering why I put them in this vid. They’re still awesome as hell.

  1. Dear Davey,
Please stop cheating on AFI with this techno side project. Come back. Make us an album. The fans have been waiting over 3 years. The year has come. AFI makes another album.

  2. i knew davey and jade hijacked the band after sing the sorrow when they inserted stuff like this in the songs. they alienated their old fans while crossing over and selling out to a wider demographic privy to a… how shall i say… an alternative life style.

  3. I don't think that they hijacked the band after Sing the Sorrow came out. Granted though that Jade changed the band dramatically when he was officially on board during the "Black Sails in the Sunset" sessions. Their was an obvious change in their sound compared to their "punk days" prior to that. Davey and Jade just had a strong desire to do something on the electronic side. I like to say that they don't like having every album sound the same. That's what makes them so appealing.

  4. They've broken their pattern. 2012 was pretty silent. =/ They're one of my absolute favourite bands, and I hate to admit it, but I do think their time as a band is coming to an end…

  5. Davey can never go wrong AFI is brilliant and Blaqk Audio is great also both are completely difference genres but Davey's lyrics will always be great after all thats what he's known for his brilliance with brining his amazing lyrics with music you wouldnt expect him doing πŸ™‚ always will be a davey fan πŸ™‚

  6. hardly techno, for a start the bpm is far too low πŸ˜›

Its more afi gone spectral, bit like the total opposite of entershikari breaking their keyboards and saying fuck it lets just use the gweetars…

  7. I'm liking Blaqk Audio better than AFI from what I'm hearing. Their electronic is very good. I've always liked Davey's voice. This electronic is a great combo.

  8. You may want to take this gay ass techno house music video down – it gives mixed messages to your bigoted hate mongering followers. After seeing this and your enshrinement of Selena videos – Now, I just think your a self loathing homosexual Mexican.
