TEDx Talks
How do we teach computers how to understand the world around them? Sanja gives us an overview of the current trends in computer vision and the challenges we face in creating a truly intelligent machine, as well as the amusing results of some AI mishaps.
Sanja Fidler is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Computer Science.
Prof. Fidler is interested in computer recognition of human dimensions, like the ability for a program to look at a photo and not only recognize objects in the image but also subtleties and characteristics that a human would pick up.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
