Great conversation, would have loved for them to have had more time.
Stuff like this is youtube at its finest.
Thanks for sharing!
Didn’t they check the microphones and Putin fresh batteries before they started?
Missed Pinker in NYC today, this will have to substitute the fix.
this looks like the inverse of Between Two Ferns. Around Two ferns
And nice scientific misrepresentation of what Trump stands for…
Henry has provided one of the best interviews of Pinker yet
Tie is a little long there Mr. Pinker
It's funny because no one is more cynical than me. I am a misanthrope, too, sort of. But I love Pinker and totally accept his thesis while it seems everyone else thinks he went off the deep end of optimism.
Paraphrase: "Religion is OK as long as scripture as the source of morality is sidelined." I love it.
What's the difference between thinking and critical thinking?
Is Professor Pinker saying that some in the media are not very helpful to society and can actually cause harm ? What is considered poverty in 2019 is a world apart from poverty in 1960 though a great many important voices who have stature will never acknowledge that . Professor Gates needs to chase down his democrat advocates throughout history who championed eugenics and other flawed theories or is he suggesting that black people have to reject science totally because these theories were based in supposed science ? As far as the last question , we’re witnessing the correction take place ,people aren’t watching and are turning to alternatives on line, thank goodness for you tube.
Gates does a fantastic job guiding the conversation and Pinker is good as usual. It's such a shame that they were cut off for the audience Q&A.
