  1. Rio I am learning! I’m starting to look at the colours and think “ that needs a bit of purple” (or whatever colour) and then you say I’m going to add some purple… and then I get stupidly excited because I was right. Thank you for your teaching and for being hilarious at the same time!

  2. I want to try this out but all I have are those 20ml tubes of acrylic paint. Do I need fluid paint in particular or will the tubed paint mix just fine with floetrol and water? Help! Lol been binge watching your art so now I'm obsessed and can't wait to try it.

  3. I never use zinc white in my greys. And I use only system 3 acrylic paints ? . The reason why, is that zinc white has a yellow hue to it and dulls your colour mixing.

  4. Hi Rio-
Do you thin your paint with anything other than flotrol? My paint seems thicker than yours with flotrol alone, and so I end up adding water-but in my last painting my beautiful cells dried weird and got a little muddy- help!
Thanks for the advice in advance!

  5. These are stunning, though I love the dark colors more. I love the color palette request idea. It's like a challenge. I do wish that you showed how you got the paint that mixed on the palette to a pourable stage. The paint you mixed was heavy body paint, what do you use to thin it down?

  6. I think both paintings are great. My eyes are drawn more to Sace's canvas because of the way that the colors mixed together on his paintings…..colors that Rio made! So, the mama gets the win, both for the mixing of the colors and because…..well, she's the mama!

  7. hi, my screen went white at about 17 min in, but color showed as your shadow crossed over, so white light glare. I think. very informative you folks rock..

  8. I now know how you feel about pouring a bunch from the same color palette. I was making something as a commission and I ended up pouring 4 more paintings because it was soooo pretty

  9. Beautiful. Sace hit it with beautiful blues and purples. Rio with gorgeous grays and blues. Silicone can be found in CRC silicone spray can in auto motive in Walmart for less than 3.00 can. KY silicone True in the pharmacy area in Walmart. It is 10.00 tiny container.

  10. After you've created the pigment you're going for, how do you have enough of it for pouring like this? What else do you add to the pigment you've mixed up?
