Thank you for your amazing continuous wisdom, dedication coupled with know-how to maintain my trip to getting more consciously aware and as a consequence spiritually connected.
To add my two cents, it's my suspicion that where conscious and subconscious reasoning differ is exactly and likely only to the extent that conscious reasoning specifically is reasoning where the process is recorded in (long-term) memory while subconscious reasoning is reasoning where the resulting decision is fed into an action but whose process is not recorded for evaluation. This "proof" of the conscious reasoning we have in the form of memory then gives rise to our perception of control over this specific process of reasoning. I wouldn't go as far as Daniel to say conscious reasoning is more reliable because it is tested – we don't know to what extent subconscious reasoning is equally tested as conscious reasoning because we don't remember the process by which we might have done the testing. However it is clear that the recollection we have of our conscious reasoning allows us to learn, introspect and re-evaluate the process of reasoning after we've had the opportunity to learn of how successful the results of the decisions brought forth from that reasoning have been, ergo, conscious reasoning permits a method of self-improvement that subconscious reasoning prohibits. And at the root of it all is nothing more than memory, emergent an illusion of control.
