Consciousness-Related Anomalies at Princeton with Brenda Dunne

New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlove

Brenda Dunne served for 28 years as laboratory manager of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) program. With Robert G. Jahn, she is coauthor of Margins of Reality: The Role of Consciousness in the Physical World, Consciousness and the Source of Reality: The PEAR Odyssey, Quirks of the Quantum Mind, and Molecular Memories. She also served as coeditor of Filters and Reflections: Perspectives on Reality and Being and Biology: Is Consciousness the Life-Force. She currently serves as president of the International Consciousness Research Lab (ICRL). Her website is http://icrl.org/.

Here she describes the history and scope of the research program at Princeton University initiated by the dean of the School of Engineering, Robert G. Jahn. The program focused primarily on the effects of human intention upon quantum mechanical random event generators. It also included studies of remote perception, as well as efforts to develop a theoretical understanding of their anomalous findings. She particularly focuses on the interpersonal dynamics and atmosphere at the laboratory.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

  1. I swell with pride thinking of how this person realized her true potential. Her ancestors were not realized. I enjoy listening to a wise old Indian. Truly special perspective on the world.

  2. I am someone who works on the basis of logic and reason,
love the scientific method,  but always
intuited a missing dimension that is not as logical and reasonable but
nonetheless accounted for a sizable proportion of our human experiences …
Interviews like these give me positive assurance that I am not alone … that I
have not gone totally mad …

  3. Hi, you don't know me ?, but your work is now progressing outside of institutional walls and boundaries of normalcy. A found, run over S9 sits atop my desktop tower, and it has been "reacting" to my narration of real time conscious collapse (the broken, cracked screen and LDC show Spanish when it cares to, hence the name Pablo). I only upgraded my polarity and charge last September, or it was then I became aware of it. In quiet, safe environments, the chicks will turn to the robot, so to speak. I didn't win, but I did push the NY lotto quick Pick machine pretty hard into two clusters of 3. I might be a descendant of Norbert, have not looked. And I see a way to save the Planet from what approaches. Plasma sheets and solar events require what happened when they last occurred: a level-up in the EM field of the shell. Bob says Hi, baseball cap and all.

  4. I love her. I work on campus at the radio station. is she still around the campus? I'd love to meet her, even if it's just a quick hello and photo! ☺

  5. Jeff
Re IQ there is a group of Jewish thinkers that own the highest. what of those who possess the lowest what will they do as artificial intelligence steals thier very important work?
Driving vehicles sweeping floors. Ah remote viewing. Seeing other places clearly.

  6. I have an idea what's happening. The universe shows us time again that all the forces of nature are trying to crystalize some sort of order out of chaos. So when you have a chaotic system, like a randomizer in a robot, it 'needs' leadership to transform it into order. it gets that leadership from the baby chicks 'willing' the machine to come to them. systems of order are more 'important' to the cosmos than random chaos. so the hierarchy of universal structure is to tend towards chaos … unless a pattern of order comes along to cause the chaos to coalesce or 'fall in line' which is how crystals work, how gravity works, how magnetism works, how intelligence works, how social structures work …. that's because there is more 'power' in order than in random chaos.

  7. Superb – have followed the remote viewing research for many years, and gained a greater understanding of the possibilities and potentialities through study of Vedanta and the work of Nassim Haramein. Hope you have a continuing conservation.

  8. Pretty interesting woman, not the first time I hear about her research. And pretty funny too, I wonder if she's noticed that the acronym of her studies as described in the title of this video would have given a very different and maybe less fortunate meaning than the pear.

  9. Thanks for this conversation and background on PEAR. As so often on NTA, there were remarks and references rich in fruitful suggestion. For example, Roger Nelson's "Connected: The Emergence of Global Consciousness" will be helpful in my own efforts. Thanks to Ms. Dunne for sharing her experiences.
