COPIC MARKER ALTERNATIVES

Touch Twin Brush, Tria, Mepxy, Prismacolor, Finecolour, and Spectrum Noir. Download the chart here: http://bit.ly/1ekhnHd
I personally think the Copic Ciao markers give you the most bang for your buck, but you should decide what works best for your situation! They’re all decent options, so see what’s available to you and what prices are in your area.

  1. Thanks for this great review. I am in Canada too and have purchased all Spectrum Noir which I hate. So will check out Ciao or Prismacolor.

  2. Instead of buying brush tips for the spectrum noir markers, you could just buy the SN illustrator markers that already come with brush tips. Just some helpful info

  3. I used to buy copic ciaos because 2 shops had it near me for £3.75 ($4.73) , but they raised the price to £4.95 ($6.24) per marker
Is it like that anywhere other than England?

  4. I’m not a big fan of brush nibs, I like the chisel tips just because I want more of a flat color and I don’t do much blending in my drawings. (Plus I have a habit of breaking brush nibs ?)

  5. Also a copic "alternative" is the Faber-Castell Pitt brush pens. Although they're not super similar to copics but they are alike. And they are not alcohol based, they are India ink based so that means they don't blend that much.

  6. Wow this helped me out a lot! I’m getting copic ciaos because it seems much cheaper and you can refill them?? I hope I can make amazing drawings with my new copic markers?
