Cubism: Modern Horizons Cube Review – Part 1

The Mana Base

Modern Horizons is going to be the most impactful set for cube in years. Sword cycle, talisman cycle, Force cycle, Canopy cycle, 2 mana lands-matter Planeswalker, snow-theme, tribal, tons of new cards supporting every archetype you can dream of. It has something for everyone and then some.

  1. I want to try running Wrenn and Six in my cube as I'll also be adding the Canopy lands. I feel with those (fingers crossed for allied colors someday) the card becomes even more interesting.

  2. My play group and I definitely were in camp A for the Swords for a long time. Only recently have they stopped first picking them most of the time. I don't think they end up in our sideboards very much though.

  3. Yeh mentioned it in the subreddit aswell… the names or flavortexts… I mean… a little less on the nose would be nice. Really looking forward to the set though, not only because of the sweet cards but more because of what this says about the future of magic sets.
Also you better be playing Orcish Hellraiser Drew! :p
