Daughters of Revolution

Grant Wood, after painting his famous American Gothic, decided to attack an institution he despised. The Daughter of the American Revolution, who had previously attacked Grant Wood’s work for not being american enough, were now being attacked by a now famous Grant Wood. Daughters of Revolution (1932) is, according to Wood, his only satirical painting.

  1. so interesting, thank you so much for your work!! just a note, more personal preference rather than a universal truth: when appreciating art, beats in the background can be quite distracting. maybe next time go for silence or some classical, jazzier sounds? just a thought. much love and keep up the good work!!
