  1. I love the response Dennett got from Wright when he said "Let's talk about transcendent and morality", Wright responds by saying "Oh oh".

  2. Humans are as alien to animals on our own planet as they are to any life form that might exist outside our planet.
I don't think we have displayed great morality to the animals on the planet for much of our existence on earth. There is no reason to think extra terrestrials will come to the same conclusion about ethics as we did. I mean, what's moral and what's not has changed throughout t the history itself too.

  3. He seems like a very good and intelligent man. However what he said abt most people try to believe in God I relate to. However i try and hope to believe in God. Actually I know there is a God, but after hearing ateists talk they make really god points that makes u think. But in my religion of Islam i really answered all my questions so hence i really dont have a reason to stop believing. my faith has only been weakened because of the intensity of the questions. however hopefully it will be resto

  4. Dan Dennett is a very good person. You just have to listen to him to understand that. I certainly love his logic and particularly his answer about if you wanted there to be life after death. Yes, no life after death, just let me live for a few hundred years. Which certainly would be much better.

  5. @lewisner I do not know exactly. But whatever God has written would happen at the end. Since God has guided me to Islam, then i would assume if i was raised up in another family i would still become muslim (God willing). But I do understand ur logic.

  6. @lewisner I am 17 years old now. Not a child, I even got a 96 mark when finishing high school. So evidently i have logic in myself. And my logic shows me there is order in the world and a well designed universe. This shows there is a God to me. Even if the order came about by evolution. Secondly I have noticed that islam is the most logical and practical religion imo. And as i said, i believe in something called God's decree and guidance. If u were to be muslim, u would be one at the end.

  7. @lewisner Hmm, I respect that your trying to help me. I suggest u watch some islam videos and find the truth in Islam. Bye

  8. "You must be insane if you think that if you were born in India, that you would be a Muslim"- do you not realise that there is a relatively large population of muslims in india? This is the arrogance portrayed by many atheists that I talk to. They are relatively smart in terms of how much knowledge they have compared to other groups, however they think that they are so smart that they can call theists stupid, ignorant, insane and etc.. but the fact of the matter is they are not that smart

  9. Do you not realise that science uses 'faith' as well? Do you think 'faith' is a separate component then evidence? If so, did you know that faith can come from looking at the evidence?

  10. Yes I know many atheists regard my views as childish and ridiculous.
"Why then do you keep exposing yourself to ridicule?"- it is called, not caring about what others think.. some people may think defending the poor agains the tyrant shows that your not obeying the laws and are thus an anarchist… but do you think i care, what they label me as? i stand up for the truth, justice.. did u know u just gave me further evidence that some atheists are arrogant?

  11. You made an assumption in "atheist views are clearly unwelcome to you". I have been talking with atheists and hearing them out.. that is not something one is able to classifying as unwelcomming.. so your question has an error in it as it has some sort of a false assumption.. similair to the false assumption that 'there is no Creator of you, the plants and the universe and everything within it'.

  12. "why do you post here?"-my initial comment over here, was a reflection.. why do i need to reflect? well it is a process that makes one learn.. why do i want to learn? becoz learning brings one to the truth.. why do i want the truth?becoz the truth will bring me happiness..

  13. "Faith?? "- faith basically means to trust or believe in something… it can mean with or without evidence.. i.e. "I have faith that water will react with carbon dioxide to produce hydrogen carbonate as it has been proven from previous experiments".. the faith is in the experiments that were done by previous scientists.. the faith is trusting that the scientists have claimed the truth.. some people believe in the majority of science without reproducing the experimental results.. tht is faith

  14. The god idea is redundant. People, believe in your own confidence and ability to do things yourself. A non being can only ever be a burden to you.
