The earliest time measurements were observations of cycles of the natural world, using patterns of changes from day to night and season to season to build calendars. More precise time-keeping eventually came along to put time in more convenient boxes. But what exactly are we measuring? Andrew Zimmerman Jones contemplates whether time is something that physically exists or is just in our heads.

If time does exist, you'll probably want to read a brief history of it. Download a free audiobook version of Stephen Hawking's classic here: https://adbl.co/2NWYjAh! Every free trial started with this link helps support TED-Ed's nonprofit mission.
I say time dosen't exists, we're just moving around the universe.
Random thought for physicists to ponder. All methods of time measurement are of the process where one thing is moving towards being in steady state equilibrium with another thing it’s interacting with. These are energy exchange processes that result in increased entropy. Maybe there is no time, just a entropy, or the proximity to equilibrium. This change in perspective might simplify a lot of things.
time is the most mind-bending concept in the universe, if you think about it, nothing is real, just electrical signals in a brain that we don't even know for sure if it is real, or just a simulation, WOW
According to my sence time is imagination. We feel time according to changes in universe.
2:08 tenet movie in a nutshell
Saying time exists is saying number exists there just used calculation. Where numbers used give something value to calculate. Time is to describe how mush more paitence you need for something to happen .
No.
Kant says time is a priori, Descartes says time is archetypic, Old Indians say time is an illusion. We just have to handle our means of perception we carry in our skull.
Its 2:32am, and this is where by brain has led me too. Now i am contemplating everything 😵💫

One of the definitions of time is this: "The indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole."
I was enjoying animation a lottttt
🔥💯🌹🏵️
The film part reminds me of when Lucy sped up that car infinitely and it disappeared
what da dog doin???
This left me with more questions.
Like when’s part 2 of this coming out?!
You must believe,
There are no accidents.
It's inevitable.
My dream carrier is to be an astrophysicist, but I’ll try to get this theory out.
Brilliant, Excellent, Awesome, Beautiful, Magnificent no word I'm finding sufficient to describe the animation.
But not only just the animation, the whole video has done such a great job. It's such a complicated topic but still explained so clearly.
The most high says we all will spend eternity somewhere meaning we are all eternal. All energy is eternal. But energy is created, but I believe our conscious/souls are eternal. Meaning at one point, we were with and of the father. But now we are seperated from him. But the father is still the father. Meaning we are not god but we are fragments of god. The trinity is God and Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the father work as one. Like a team. The father anoints, jesus collects us back together, and the Holy Spirit spreads the gospel. We will one day be United with the father, but not without Christ as our savior whome the Holy Spirit has brought us. Time is only real for now, but for eternity time is literally nothing. Chose jesus. I struggle myself but I desire jesus and his gospel
🤷🏽🤷♀️
Theres been so much debate regarding the quantum entanglement, on how, despite the distance, entangled particles behaves opposite in an instant when observed. The answer is simply we are in a highly advance computer program. Take microsoft excel for instance as an analogy. Assume you plot the other half of the entangled particle in a cell with a formula in it, then place the paired particle millions of cells apart from each other. The moment you input a data on either one, and with the correct formula, the paired particle will come out exactly as what the outcome of the formula would be. That is why it breaks the limit of speed because the data transmitted wasnt through it or did not traveled, but an output of the programmed cell.
Instead of cracking jokes on comments section , if everyone wrote thei understandings . We'll be at a different height together
We’re just in the moment .
Time is only relevant to our understanding of our place on this planet and our planets place in The Universe .
Once outside the confines of our own atmosphere ,Time not only doesn't exist, it is irrelevant !! 🤔
every time they said 'theory of everything' i thought of theory of everything from geometry dash lol
What we call time falls under the relatively new concept of "unsanity."
Just like borders and laws, time is a man-made concept, because it is humans who decided what a second is, that 60 seconds are 1 minute and 60 minutes are an hour, but this doesn't mean anything to animals or alien species.
We also follow the law like the good, law-abiding citizens we are, because we don't want to get in trouble with the law, but laws themselves are nothing more than other people's ideas we were taught to acknowledge and obey.
Yes, they are written in books, but in reality they are not any more significant than Harry Potter books or a grocery list.
Once you see through these man-made concepts, you see how absurd our world really is.
We do things "because that's how reality works," without ever questioning reality itself.
