Sometimes called the “two-slit” or “Young’s” experiment, it demonstrates that matter and energy can display the characteristics of both waves and particles, establishing the principle known as wave-particle duality. Furthermore, it questions the role of the observer in the outcome of events and demonstrates the fundamental limitation of an observer to predict experimental results.

Perhaps, atoms leave behind trails in space that interact with later atoms, resulting in the interference pattern that we see 🙂
Somehow visualising the experiment causes a kind of interference which alters time but not space….Dark matter and neural biology working in unison perhaps?

What more evidence do you need that we are all part of a simulation. When not closely observed, the simulation is left at very low resolution to minimise computation and so as to at least give the pretence of normality. But when observed, processing is applied with greater resolution, leading to the dichotomy.
If atoms exist as waves of probability and measuring them causes them to behave like particles then Our body is made of atoms and what kind of measurement has caused the whole bunch of atoms in our body to behave of particles?
obviously the difference in the Atom two slit model is the measuring device. without the measuring device the atom act like ripples on a pond, atoms are essentially vibrations, energy, as light is, energy.
once you enter a measuring device it only detects the energy hitting the device. create a slit in a in a basin of water, drop a pebble on one side and watch the ripple as it passes through the slit. now make a basin with two slits and repeat. the ripples will spread and overlap. finally place two cameras opposite the two slits where the ripples come through, record and watch the video = no overlap.
This reality your sitting watching this video with its defined shapes and sharp edges isn't what reality really looks like, it's just an abbreviation defined by your senses. A moth has an entirely different "reality" defined by its senses. the moth is as far from our reality as we are from "true" reality.
Could the equipment be set up so that it's physically possible to view the results of the detector if and only if an interference pattern is produced on the screen? What would happen then?
I guess whenever u measure something u actually create interactions with the subject and here electrons wave nature was disturbed due to inference of the measurement device.
But just imagine, that u made a measurement device in this case a beeping device so if you plug the device ON but if the beeping volume is kept 0, that means measurement is taking place right!!
But here u will see that even if no observer consciously know through which slit the electron passed, there will be particle nature seen on the recording screen, this will make u clear that observer doesn't have to see or hear anything rather just making the detector ON will create disturbance and thus u will get particle nature, even if the observer is ABSENT!!!
I wish this challenge and admission that "we don't know it all" was written in my text books when I was studying..

What would happen if you had 3 slits or 1000 slits etc? Or different orientation of slits, plus different shape and sizes, distance etc? huh? Has anyone experimented with that?
and in a vacuum is the pattern due to sound interaction developing a wave in the atmosphere developing a motion in the particles fired through the slit/slits or is the magnetic field acting as an alternate on off switch?
is this experiment carried out in atmosphere in which case the atom or light particles could be interacting with the electrons within the gas. what happens in a vaccum

Reflection etc! Light reflect of of the medium !dont believe me? Ok humor me then ! Redo the experiement but with a sheet of graphene for the double slit experiement (thinner is better here so you want to prevent anything light can do movement wise !so it would be forced to use only its other non movement properties !(I bet you ll even love this )

How does one take an atom, something we can't see, and fire it off like a bullet, and then see where it lands? I think the instruments used to observe this are the problem. Regardless, the results are still uniform relatively. My only theory, which opens up another theory is that we might still not know what an atom really is and how it behaves.
If the grans of sand were traveling at 186,000 MPS and the source was diffused like a bulb further apart than the slits were spread and traveling in wave form then yes definitely.
If you fire a steam of particle and they produce an interference pattern, why do you assume it is because particles are affecting eachother, as oppose to every particle in the stream only affecting itself, as if fired one by one. If that was the case, that means the root assumption is incorrect – that particles wave formation in eachother, when in reality, individual particle behavior is always the same – it acts like a wave, until contaminated by whatever it is the detector is firing at it, be that photons, a magnetic field or something else.

Turns out the double slit experiment has nothing to do with pornhub. Who knew?
It seems that consciousness alone can collapse the wave function. There have been studies where meditators focus their attention on the device and the wave collapses. So no particles of matter needed, just observing with the mind. This raises a whole host of new interesting questions of what the consciousness actually is and how it relates to quantum reality and through it to our everyday reality.

The observer is just effecting the particles and cancels their wave behavior.
Reality is only what needs to be real
so the mass of an atom interacts with the combined atoms of the target slits. and rides a wave response through the slits to un-particle like behavior. quantum equals fields, particles are fields with a standing wave energy peak focused in passing interaction at the moment of measurement?

Ok so… a single particle at a time passing through one slit creates a mostly focused but diffused image of the slit. Through 2 the interference pattern is shown. So field effect is still present and obviously not a phenomena of the presence of other particles… The "ether of fields" has a notable effect at the atomic level. Field disruption appears possible however…
Living in a simulation
The quantum magnetic flux field of the matter(in this case the two slits) distorts the light partial and as the quantum field is a weak force the light participial can be recorded in random locations.

The backdrop is a detector, no different from the camera. CCD sensors would take away a little bit of energy because the photon would hit the sensor instead of the backscreen. photon would take path of lease resistance. Isn't this ohm's law?
What happens if we have 3 or more splits instead of two splits?
