  1. There was also concept art of Shaw as alien xenomoph queen. Instead of dying she turns into a xenomoph. That would have been cool to see

  2. I would have liked to see more of Elizabeth Shaw and with her getting acquainted the new crew of Covenant. That's a good storyline Shaw repairing David and hiding from him. I like that storyline.

  3. I get the feeling Ridley Scott doesn't give a shit about the Alien franchise anymore which pisses me off so much, he should give the rights to passionate directors who have respect and love for the franchise…. seems like Ridley is just happy to see it slowly die when in reality the franchise can be expanded upon so much more

  4. Noomi Rapace is cute. Originally Charlize Theron was suppose to play Elizabeth Shaw, would they have still killed her off between films if Charlize didn’t play Meredith Vickers instead? After Covenant, I half expected the next film to do the same thing with Katherine Waterston. It’s kinda funny, people only hated David Fincher’s Alien 3 for killing off Newt that way. You’d think they’d learn from that experience. I would’ve totally preferred more Shaw, but it’s sounding like we don’t even get closer to David’s story. Cliffhangers should only be allowed if resolution is guaranteed. I wonder who would have starred in the final film with Michael Fassbender?

  5. Blame her death at Fox's attempts to capitalize on nostalgia. That's why Daniels looks so much more like Ripley in Aliens (short hair, gun in the hand, saying the mf line, etc).
They thought that they would make more money in this way, but they did not hedge in any way and a decision to kill off an actress who came to fame due a feminist trilogy and to keep the one who had some troubles in 2010 (reappeared in 2018) seems counter productive at least in hindsight.
Please let it rest now (both xenomorphs and Ripley) and come up with something new!

  6. Dr. Shaw was on her way to become an Übermensch and meet the engineers on the same level of evolution. She was the only real human after all, exactly what the engineers seeded on planet earth.

  7. Prometheus and Covenant are as silly as alien 4 and AvP they might as well be a trilogy in their own right. AvP:R is still the only unwatchable stain on property. Guilty pleasures but pleasures non the less. The first trilogy are proper film Aliens and Alien 3 have different flaws only Alien is a masterpiece.

  8. Wanted Shaw to live, There are no connectins to the charcters, no idea who the covenant crew are… just canon fodder

  9. Shaw got the shaft just to shove zenomorphs into the story 2 movies early, oh and David did not create the zeno's they were around for thousands of years, does the antarctic piramid ring any bells. She deserves so much more than that mess

  10. As much as I agree that Covenant underwhelmed as a whole. They might as well finish off this trilogy so fans of the Alien franchise (especially fans from the 70's) to see how this whole thing came full circle. Yes they screwed up bad by not giving Shaw a proper send off or even giving her enough screen time and left us with a lot of plot holes..questions still need to be answered so regardless Disney needs to suck it up and let Scott finish this whole thing because let's face it we all wanna know how/ why the space jockey got to LV-426 and where the eggs came from.

  11. Wow! Shaw hiding from David under the catacombs of the engineer city and helping the Covenant crew escape??? This is such a better story. We all loved Shaw"s character in Prometheus. I very much would have loved to see her return and win, more or less than the cheap knock off death they gave to her in Covenant. Too much of David playing the flute with Walter scenes if you ask me. And while I adore the entire Alien Franchise, I believe the Dark Horse Comic adaptation stories are far more interesting and exciting than what we got with Covenant. I loved Prometheus even. The journey into the origin of the Xenomorph and Engineers was fabulous. I still love Covenant because it's a part of the franchise. But would have loved to see this story which includes Shaw! Great video ?

  12. Ridley dropped the ball, listening to unrsnable fans for a mimic Alien film in a prequel about the Engineers. It could’ve been a beautiful metaphorical film, where David is seen as Lucifer (more a fallen angel/less so mans creation of the devil) & Shaw an archangel (bringing divinity & love). Besides that, this plot would’ve been so much better by introducing new tropes with two bad ass heroines & continued the Prometheus lore. I mean Shaw could’ve died at the end, only to give Daniels her beginning for the last trilogy’s entry; by building & developing Daniels up to become like Shaw & Ripley instead of another inherited badass when most the film introduced her as mousy. David’s suppose to be an Android too, that blurs the line with strategic ways, not a broken Android that became freewill randomly (I.e: his trickery ways of getting permission like in Prometheus). Should’ve kept the prototype Alien creatures fighting eachother at the end like they wrote, gave more insight on the Aliens behavior like animals. Could’ve made the end alien result look less like it’s original too (now w.o Shaw’s dead body). And even maybe as a minor subplot have a couple of rogue engineers (of this planet cuz they look diff) still alive plotting too, with Shaw avoiding their hideout, & David in the citadel surrounded by his creatures like a conquering king. So much could’ve been done! I mean it was good but the point was to continue Prometheus not make it a spinoff, & with Ridleys talent he could’ve achieved all this metaphorical story of imagery quite well.

  13. I love how they share what role characters were originally going to play in a movie because it’s obvious they made a mistake in the direction they went with the story after it released.
