If Musk thinks that the tools to build functional AI have nothing to do with furthering general AI….¯_(ツ)_/¯. Personally, I think Musk’s sounding of the AI alarm is needlessly driving panic and distrust in the nontechnical public, whose informal AI education is informed by Hollywood.
