Imaginary and symbolic the human body has been magnified by Martinus to the size of the visible universe. Just like the living Universe consists of particles and empty space, the living human body also consists of particles and empty space. But Martinus shows that there is consciousness in the empty space. Actually all particles in the whole Universe are governed and controlled by consciousness, by the consciousness of microcosmic, mesocosmic and macrocosmic living beings. The infinite empty space of the universe thus consists of a world of invisible substances and is therefore just as realistic as the world that consists of the substances that are visible to the physical senses. The spiritual or invisible world is a patent fact in the form of the infinite empty space of the universe. The invisible part of the universe calls forth precisely the same kind of manifestation as the invisible part of the living beings, namely purposeful creation. The invisible part of the universe, that is the infinite empty space, is thus consciousness, the seat for thought manifestation, desire and will and the “Something” that is the source of these thought manifestations, this desire and this will.

§ 19.7 Are formative forces present in the empty space between particles?
Atomic physics deals with particles and empty space. Instead of particles and empty space, Martinus talks about particles and consciousness, so that what seems to be empty space is in fact filled with consciousness. He explains that every particle movement, irrespective of whether it takes place in the macrocosm or the microcosm, is due to the consciousness forces making up the empty space between the particles. Can anything lifeless be the origin of a movement? Surely not, only something living can cause a movement! In his article “Particles, empty space and the power of thought” Martinus argues that consciousness is the cause of all particle movements (Kosmos no. 1/2001). This description may lead us on the track of how the formative fields of the creative power working through the talent kernels can affect the physical molecules, first in the course of chemical evolution and subsequently during biological evolution. In chemical evolution, the azoic formation of enzymes and nucleic acids with their huge information content must consequently be regarded as a result of consciousness processes based on the experience gained in an earlier evolutionary spiral cycle.

MARTINUS: THE “EMPTY SPACE IS NOT EMPTY”
QUOTE: “One would, if one were an initiated being, discover that the empty space between all the stars or particles was an empty space merely from a physical point of view, and that it in reality was filled by the being’s true self and the essence of its being, an enormous area, a gigantic central system of high-psychic matter. From here one would see that low- psychic forces flowed out to low-psychic central planetary systems, which means the micro-particles in the psychic organisms or spiritual bodies of the enlarged human being in question. Through the empty space one would in turn see huge streams of force and impulses being hurled between micro-particles, each of them finding its way to the respective physical suns and planets in the system.
The initiated observer would see that from the so-called empty space the entire system was in reality maintained and directed. From here the speed and rotation of the particles was organised and controlled. New physical planets and worlds would arise, be developed and face their destruction in order to be replaced by others. It would also be evident to the initiate that impulses and vital forces reaching the physical particles, or suns and planets, came from a particular system in this galaxy, namely its organs of consciousness (its brain and nerves). The initiate would also see how these thought impulses created a reaction in the micro-systems.” *
