  1. I love this channel so much. I didn't know her work and I'm happy that I do now. She's such an interesting person <3 I wish there was an illustrated book inspired by her childhood stories and adventures. I bet it would be reeeally cool hahaha

  2. Abigail shares quite a good advice on finding the art style. It's not something easy to do, but studying favorite artists makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the interview again!

  3. This is awesome thank you Iva as always for the lovely content! ❤️ also have you considered interviewing J.A.W Cooper ? I love her art ✨ ?

  4. Really enjoyed this interview! I've not seen Abigail's work but just checked out her gallery and was blown away at her distinct dark style, absolutely wonderful stuff! I especially loved hearing about how she had unusually supportive parents in childhood and having that tie up as one of the key success factors in allowing her the freedom to develop her talent and style into a successful career. I hope all who hear this interview will do the same for any artistic kids they have in the future!

  5. I listened to it. What a wonderful interview. She has an interesting story. Inspires me to do my thing while studying the basics…form, anatomy, etc.

  6. I listened to it. What a wonderful interview. She has an interesting story. Inspires me to do my thing while studying the basics…form, anatomy, etc.

  7. I remember looking up to my older brothers as they were fine artists. I could never understand though why they didn't draw characters and monsters. I also loved fun houses and Darkride soooo much. Pretty cool I ended up painting them.

  8. Finally !!! Someone said that clearly! What's the whole hype with this "finding a style" thing. Whenever I go (forums) I read always the same thing… "How can I find my style" well… get your shit together and start working on your drawings! For god sake. When I was starting I didn't even THINK about finding my own "style". Nowadays everything has to be instant. Instant career, instant success… I really admire artists who have the patience of explaining to young people that you need to WORK HARD in order to achieve something.

  9. Another great episode, great questions asked!

Growing up i was lucky enough to have a grandad that was a gamekeeper, he knew alot about the countryside and would always take me and my older brother out and every time we would go out with him he would find species of birds or woodland animals and teach us all about them. Alot of people will frown upon the idea but he would also shoot rabbits for the purposes of selling for their meat or for cooking at home. There were just alot of things to be learnt from growing up around that type of life considering i was born in a town, most people don't get to experience that, you begin to respect life more.

The one moment i will always remember though was when my Grandad took me out to check the rabbit cages (traps) out in the fields, the rabbits caught would be killed in a humane way to prevent suffering. That day though when we were checking the traps though with all these greyish brown rabbits there was one that had this adorable ginger rabbit in it which you would rarely see, We put it in a binocular case and i took it to show my Nan, afterwards i took it out of the case and petted it before taking it outside and letting it free. That moment in particular just made me respect how precious life is and how the taking of it shouldn't be taken lightly. That being just a singular moment of which there were too many to tell, it's not really art related in a sense but it taught me alot about life, death and the beauty of our sorroundings.

  10. Eva I love your channel, I've been a huge fan of it since several months but I'd rather see your tips and resources at the end or the beggining of the video, or in the description because having it in the middle just feels like kind of a commercial, it just splits the video and cuts the interview by the middle
