Generating Genius with L'Oréal and the Royal Institution 2013-14

The Royal Institution

This year the L’Oréal Young Scientist Centre team have collaborated on a new programme with L’Oréal UK & Ireland and educational charity Generating Genius to give promising A-level science students from disadvantaged backgrounds a real insight into what it is like to be a scientist or an engineer.

The aim of the four month hands-on programme was to showcase the wealth of exciting careers studying science can lead to and to encourage the students to pursue a science, technology, engineering or mathematics related degree at university.

  1. Hmm multi culti happy clappy corporo sponsored , paint by numbers representational 'new britain' pseudo tosh > "generating genius". But then I supposed the 'royal institute' has always required royal and upper class patronage to survive, nowadays that translates to corporations, that make millions with vanity treatment products / fashion cosmetics – when did loreal come up with a cure for anything ? extreme marketing expenditure wastefully raising product prices – the skin has evolved when healthy to be self maintaining.

  2. As the founder of The Cush Center for Learning, Inc., a program that has been around for 3 years, it is my goal to reinforce student aspirations to enter the STEM majors in their undergraduate studies.
Presently, we aim to target youth in high schools; youth who are from underserved communities. These communities must demonstrate a paucity of support and academic resources for students who aim to pursue STEM subjects.

I look forward to working with you to achieve our company's mission, thank you.
