GFS MasterClass connects top film directors with young storytellers from around the world through a unique Google+ Hangout series. Each monthly session highlights an aspect of Ghetto Film School’s award-winning curriculum, with participants completing creative assignments for each class. The best work will screen at special program during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
Creative Assignment: “The Art of Observation”
This assignment is to explore an unknown location, and come up with a page of dialogue from a conversation had by the people populating the place. With Joshua’s help, our students will help find the story hidden within this location and this real conversation; a concept they will then transform into a 2 minute short piece.
