No chamois cream ? I've been doing it all wrong.
Hey, you learn something new everyday!
All modern chamois are made of microfibers which are soft and breathable on their own. The chamois cream was actually invented for the advent of the leather chamois which had to be worked with lotion in order to be soft for use. Applying chamois cream on today's chamois will clog the fibers resulting in compromised breathability and will also allow you to move more while on your ride because of the cream which is not optimal for riding comfort.
