GPT-3: How OpenAI Could Change the World

A world is quickly arriving where the division between human and AI writing is increasingly blurred. GPT-3 is helping make this a reality. Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3 is a program created by the San Francisco startup OpenAI. This organization is dedicated to engineering Artificial Intelligence programs. With the release of GPT-3, OpenAI has created the most advanced computer program for writing human-like text. The program often outputs text that could be indistinguishable from human writing. When working with the program, GPT-3 works to understand the context of the inputted text by the human and then follow with an output that is related to that specific context. This has huge implications for millions of jobs that rely on text composition. Many of these jobs could be largely automated and it could improve the quality of output as humans work with the AI to create superior compositions. Entering any comprehensible text into the program will generate an output that should be understandable by humans and fits the context of the writing. Any type of text input should generate a logical response, including questions and requests for summaries. One potentially transformative element is the ability to generate PC code that creates workable applications. The question is will GPT-3 transform the job market in a way that helps or hurts humans?
