Helen Frankenthaler Story and Paint Technique with Ms. Kristin

Camp Keetov at Home

Kristin reads Dancing Through Fields of Color: The Story of Helen Frankenthaler by Elizabeth Brown and illustrated by Aimée Sicuro. Helen Frankenthaler was a Jewish American painter. She was a hero because she pushed the boundaries of what art could be and became one of the most influential artists of the Abstract Expressionist Movement. Try her wet paint pour art technique with Ms. Kristin after the story!

Materials: A wet sheet of thick paper (like watercolor paper), liquid water colors (can be made by mixing water and tempura paint), a space where you can get messy!
