  1. 47% report their minds not engaged with what they're doing? I would have thought more like 99%! In fact looking around does even 1% of us know what we're really doing!

  2. If I want to build the kind of meta-awareness he is talking about I recommend that you read the book The Mind Illuminated. It is a meditation manual and meta-awareness is an important part there as well. There it is called "meta-cognitive introspective awareness"

  3. 1. Become forgetful due to Lack of a Set Life Purpose.
    2. Followed by Inability to Maintain Focus on daily simples Tasks.
    3. LISTENING TO THIRD PARTIES, AND ACTUALLY ALLOW THEM TO DICTATE US WHAT WE NEED, SHOULD, COULD, BELIEVE OR NOT, ETC.
When We Should NOT Simply Because WE OURSELVES ARE THE ONLY ONES TO KNOW SPECIFICALLY WHAT OUR BODY AND OR, MINDS NEED TO ABLE TO BECOME THE BEST WE CAN BE.

NO BRAIN IS EXACTLY ALIKE NEITHER IS THERE A PATTERN THAT WOULD INDICATE THAT CERTAIN BEHAVIORS, OR PRACTICES WOULD MAINTAIN OUR AWARENESS TO A MAXIMUM HUMAN DEVELOPMENT.

  4. Richard J. Davidson was on the BBC last night talking about this very thing. I was so glad to learn about this study!

I have had some problems that have not been solved with antidepressants etc., and I have been looking for a healthy way to rewire my brain in a more positive way for years.

I have had some very positive results from meditation in the past, but I fell off the horse, so to speak.

I think this sounds promising, and I am very excited to get started, though I know that it will be "a process", and I just need to be patient, and the progress will happen eventually.

Patience is not my one of my strengths, but then that is one of main reasons why I need this so badly!

Thanks to TED talks, and thanks to Mr. Davidson!

  5. Thank you for sharing this. The opening paragraph really makes you think how some ppl are more resilient to negativity and some just become a victim. Doing a mental hygiene everyday can really help.

  6. Humanity has been mistreating itself over time. This created this state of fear and mistrust among us. Maybe we should deconstruct this "media operandi" and try to interact more unarmedly. We should live with more purposes and just fewer volatile desires…👍🌾💚😉
