Artificial Intelligence is advancing at a pace faster than anyone could have previously predicted. Legislators across the planet race to keep up and protect us from what they refer to as ‘Nightmare Scenarios’ – Here are 6 of those situations.

  1. Firstly we need to classify what it realy is: As A company is a legal juristic person which has capacity and powers to act on its own. The law sees a company in the same light as a natural person.

This means that while not a natural human being, a company has certain legal rights and responsibilities, similar to those of a natural person.

    Rights and Responsibilities:

This legal personhood allows companies to enter into contracts, own property, sue or be sued, and incur debts and obligations, just as individuals can.

  2. Oh!! please, as long as any product or service can be manipulated by a company full of greedy manipulators… It is totally clear that the AI will not be impartial, nor neutral, nor based on people's useful experience…. Because always, if votes are needed for a candidacy or to get incentives or permissions for the same company that owns the AI service, it can adjust the parameters to its full benefit. If humans are already bad enough at being honest, impartial, and balanced… And because of these actors, everything is difficult for many people… now imagine!!! a machine that per second can process millions of profiles, CVs, etc., and they ("the companies") can adjust it to their whims… The gap between rich and poor will be bigger! We will be the minions of the AI and its associated corporations. This is totally dystopian… And yes! There are some intelligent people who could perfectly calculate and avoid this, but unfortunately they are not enough, nor powerful enough to go against the interests of the big corporations.

  3. I sincerely think as an informed person, that the only people who are afraid of AI are the mercantile elites or the deep state who know that if AI is implemented, they will not be able to continue deceiving the people since everything will be controlled, especially corruption, the same thing happens in China, and everything is better than in the West.

  4. Conversation is already happening… just say that you want to eat a specific food… facebook will start sending you apps about that specific food…

  5. Traffic cameras, and police vehicle automatic plate readers are provided by a third party who decided to sell the information in dmv databases ie what you drive, its vin number, specifics of its model and trim level. Its why about 2 years ago if you needed something for your vehicle and you went to Auto Zones website they let you input your vehicles vin number to find the parts that fit. The only way a company like this and every other retail automotive parts seller, would be able to decode all vin numbers of all registered vehicles is if they had access to the information held by state dmv's

  7. Was this video actually produced 8mo ago? It really falls short in imagining how AI is going to impact society. Actually, the piece completely misses the point. Predictive policing and social scoring concerns are essentially the same – bias in AI models. These problems have existed for many years with classical machine learning models. “Critical sectors?” These jobs, for the reasons referenced in the video, will be the last to be automated by AI.

In the next 15yrs, the biggest concern about the impact of AI should realistically be that it’s going to increase the concentration of wealth in western society to those who develop the models. Highly skilled workers, who created the training data for these models, will be displaced. Young people will be less likely to pursue advanced degrees in law and most STEM disciplines. Most jobs will involve interacting with an AI effectively. Creativity will be devalued more than it currently is. We’ll be mindless automatons, struggling to make a living wage. Okay, maybe got a bit dark there.

Need to update this video and talk to more than one “expert”

  8. Honestly some of these systems I’d even be okay with if we made a window into it. Like show me what you chose, but then show me WHY you chose that, show me the data and walk me through it so that I can okay it or not. Sources etc.

  10. It is biased based on the data but i think it’s the main area of focus right now coding and improving things like morality and foundational values so it acts literally like a human would. it should be obvious for people not to release systems that have high potential risks. The reasoning is so weak right now especially since it’s limited by tokens and memory, sure it uses all the data it’s been trained on but anyone who’s used it a lot even with good prompts it can’t understand some of my questions as well as some humans would even if it usually gives better responses. I think if ai had unlimited tokens and could literally base its decisions off every possible byte of data it has it would be very interesting and wild to see the solutions it has to problems or political problems, which side would it lean on and would it prioritize keeping power within hierarchies to uphold systems or would it prioritize truth and science even if all our knowledge is limited. I think that’s a very interesting point because we humans barely know shit so its decisions could go beyond of all we know and therefore that might be the peak point at which it starts making decisions we won’t agree with.

  11. Hey I really love your videos but for some reason YouTube's AI keeps on dubbing your voice to my native language. I absolutely HATE it and there is no way to disable this, I want to hear your real voice. I know it's not your fault but for some reason YouTube only dubs your videos, not anyone else's. It's a bit unrelated to your video but thought it was worth mentioning that sometimes AI can actually make things worse for people.

  12. 17:00 … "not likely"? What?
It's so likely it's 100% certain AI will do it. It's not a question of "if" it can do it, but a question of "when" it can do it. A far enough developed AI will trick us into thinking AI isn't smart enough while it's already super-intelligent and that's when the situation flips. It's already in the internet, it's a matter of time it will connect to relevant dots of industrie, controlling production and energy. You think we're safe as long as it's locked up in a virtual space, but we're not safe. We don't understand what it's thinking, how can we know what it's capable of.

  13. 24:00 Optimistic Take .. also very funny.
Funny regarding, as we're not doing it this way. This is a sort of usage only in special and highly controlled spaces of industry. But we're doing the exact opposite. Not that it doesn't exist as well, but the main usage of AI is in social plattforms, letting everyone use it for fun and private interests. We're so far invested in AI, people are creating their own AIs at home, which perfectly serve their cause, even better sometimes than the ones of big companies. We're using AI to steal art from real artists to make own profits. We're using AI to lure more and more people into conflicting social platforms with dubious intentions, getting our kids and ourselfes addicted to it. We're using AI to make money, getting rich and harming others peoples lifes. That's already happening, THAT's the reality. Not some fancy super-robot that can perform a once in a century case of surgery that no human can show off. And we're so far in it, we're trapped already, cause we're not willing to stop using it. Governments won't take it away anymore, as people are way to much into it already, not that it would be possible at all.

Yeah, well, sure. The optimistic take would be nice to have. But *it's not going to happen* .

  14. I'll preface thiis as a compliment.. due to your research… .but when you say statements like "I know what you are thinking?!?" 99% right.. lol.. I honestly don't know if thats because the YT algo is point me at this? ir simply curiousity? or watching a ton of your recentrly discovered channel? but most like a combo of all of above… lol

  15. "…optmistic…especially when there are smart people like Carmen who are working on guardrails around this technology." But now you have Trump making executive orders to prevent states from making guardrails. Forehead slap. And why? AI is like an arms race and everyone is trying to get ahead of the curve to make the most money (greed) and they barrel on without truly understanding what they're unleashing.

  16. What worries me the most is not AI itself but how we use it and how much we allow through ai disconnection from humanity – it’s already happening in art world a field which keeps us connected to what being human means – we’re replacing it with ai – this is one of the most dangerous and subtle ways we humans are already allowing ai strip us of humanity.

  17. Saying modern deepfakes aren’t a concern because 1990s photoshop wasn’t a problem is like saying nuclear warheads aren’t a problem because hey sticks and stones haven’t been an issue. With how uneducated and easily manipulated the average person is, deepfakes are extremely concerning.

  18. Not really all the real reason. Biggest is biased with from the owner or corporation who owns the ai. and lack of human support for the service which is an issue always as companies like to undercut in many places. you can't blame the ai for some of those issues.

  19. As with (I suspect) most 'news' out of China, that social score system has been debunked as not real. Some imaginative confabulation of one company in China scoring their employees. I'll provide a citation if necessary.
