  1. I love travelling. But until Im there, my planning consists of booking the ticket, maybe hotel and that's about it. And people would want to talk about it and tell me so you're going to such place aren't you excited?? And I thought no. I'm not there yet. Are you anxious about going? No. They could not understand why I was not excited and thought then I must be fearful. I could not understand why I was supposed to be one or the other. I get it now haha.

  2. Honestly, it takes years of practice to figure out how to be as present as possible and still be a responsible person in the world. Learning how to use the intellect properly and keeping it in the proper perspective. Engaging in heart intelligence and having your mind follow the heart instead of letting the head lead. Also, yes, trusting the Universe. All of these things work together. As I said, it takes time to learn.

  3. Helpful! How to use psychological time without doing unnecessary thinking. When it is useful and when it is not. Something which I need to practice. But it requires a sufficient presence to watch upon our thoughts when we are becoming astray. 👍❤️

  6. Yeah it’s not really rude to be around 5-15 minutes late (or so) in the Philippines…we’re pretty chill 😂 Sometimes people here even call others “too early” if they arrive exactly on time. But of course it depends on the event or situation.

  7. A stranger in an airport started talking to me telling me about her son dying and although the airline called my name over and over and I missed my flight I don’t feel I was late or didn’t show up rather I feel I was right where I was meant to be – when I explained this to the airline they thanked me for taking the time to help by being present through her pain and they put me on the next flight – when I landed the family thought my actions crazy and selfish to keep them waiting and miss my scheduled flight to this day they still think I’m an odd ball and treat me that way but it’s me they all rely on when things go wrong with their health or anxiety sets in they want me to be present with them yet they judge my lack of selfishness but that’s ok I’m the way God made me – thank you for being a kindred spirit Eckhart ☘️💁🏻🧜🏻‍♀️💕

  8. Thank you Eckhart! This was one of my favorite segments! I am a planner, and I have been more focused on staying present, while I plan my next adventure or project or job. 😊

  9. At the beginning of the segment about habitual lateness, it seems like he's saying that being late is a minor imperfection, but at the very end, he seems to say that it is one that "really f***s up your life." Can someone clarify this for me? Which one do you think it is?
I'm also habitually late. I live in the US but I have ADHD and I'm on the autism spectrum. I don't think I can take anymore self-punishment about this issue. I feel heartbroken that I could never fix it. My only solution at this point is to move to a society where lateness is the norm.

  10. As far as punctuality goes, I always strive to be on time out of respect
for whom I'm meeting. To be chronically late is narcissistic behavior.
I could be wrong but that is what it feels like. Thanks again Eckhart!

  11. I love you Eckhart …your example of your Filipino friend who's always late… you stated it could be in the gene ,however, it could be cultural. We all slaves of culture especially when we're not living in the "Now"However, I understand your point .

  12. Why have you anxiety about all the “books and manuscripts that are taking up more and more space” “over at my place”? Can’t you accept what is? 🤣And use them as firewood?
