I’d like to see round 2 where the AI takes his arguments into account.
Debates have a lot of subjectivity due to human audiences and a lot of bias.
AI audience is necessary for a debate to be fair
This was a terrible way to conduct the experiment. They should have had both the AI and Human opponent give their debate through a proxy such as actors or machine screen reader. This way the audience wouldn't know which debater was the human and which was the machine. I think the fact that the audience knew who the machine and human were was a big factor in determining the winner.

So we are better at being fragmented. You know, a machine has no need for other parties with other thoughts. It will build consensus in a rational way and has no need to debate anything. That's not a skill but rather a shortcoming on our part.
