#LanguageStory

This video was created by Juhyae Kim ’19 and Anya Slepyan ’21 of Swarthmore College for their Sociolinguistics I (LING025) final project. Their project looks at what factors of a college’s semiotic landscape are important in creating speech communities and identities. In particular, they discuss unique lexical items that students have developed and are using on their respective campuses.
