  1. wondefull job ! keep going and never give up ! maybe one day i'll make the same it look so fantastic.i think you can make a more longer circuit with weldind two or more copper coil together with tin ( but i don't know if it will work ) , to have a closed circuit with a train running non stop.and instead of using an electric cell you could use a flexible iron coil for more flexibility , so the train could take bends easily .my english is not very good but i hope you will understand the essential of what i tried to say !

  2. stretching out coil would make it longer and go slower.
    add wire from end to end and meet near nose and have a bit of that wire touching coil as it goes along and illuminates super low voltage led's along the track….yes, no…

  3. Fascinating.
    Now you have to figure out how to build railroad switches. Maybe you could take advantage from the inertial thrust letting the train flow on spheres rails while it switches from one tube to the other.
    Otherwise you could include the switching section of the wire tube into a plastic tube in order to give it rigidity, allowing precision movement. But since bending the tube can compromise the fluidity of the movement perhaps spheres are better and more elegant.
    Another big issue is how to reduce the friction of the train inside the tube. I wonder what happens if you roll the wire around a transparent pvc tube and let the train go into the tube: I think it should work as well and it would allow to mount wheels on the train.

Great JOB! but.. for using its a lot of coper,, problems with stoping by acccident..(how shield contactor? or mechanical move of contactor?? bcause of LOOOT curent or LOOOt woltage.. and again too much coper for one meter +-? Better is a AIR SYSTEM puch-pull on air pilow.. but again! !!!great piece of technician work!! thx for it..

  5. Make a huge loop and incorporate led lights along the track that are powered by the transient electrical force. Why aren't you out blowing up shit like a normal kid. Concentrate on making a safe and portable railgun.

  6. Magnets contact the wire and battery ends so current flows through the loops of wire pushing and pulling the train along. Like any toy it will run until the battery dies.

    But still a pretty dam cool project.

  7. The most effective teaching aids are your ears and eyes. You decided to use only one of those tools which leaves you trying to visually show battery alignment with pictures. Color commentary is good for more than football games, unless of course you made the clip for yourself as opposed to the viewing public.

  9. Make a turn table at the ends. if enough momentum present when exiting tube it might turn 180 degrees on its own. offset the wheel and tube stop to rotate to proper spot for release into return tube. Then it will keep going until Battery is dead. very cool
