Jarbicyte is definitely an interesting gem concept, this on top of gem harvesting and the gem shard experiments makes me really wonder about blue/white/pink/yellow diamond and homeworld as a whole. This got cut out in the video due to the whole computer crash thing but I really wanna see a scene where jarbicyte is collecting gem shards and ends up recognizing her friend’s shards or something and then turning it into a big ol emotional anime scene and her using said friend’s shards for a gigantic blast. The idea is rather disturbing to me, but interesting. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing it on the show. Still, I think gem harvesting is a more productive use of gem shards.

i think this concept got sort of reused in the show for the worm gem, its attraction to shiny objects never made sense to me until i thought it was seeking out gem shards on battlefields before being corrupted
