  1. “It shouldn’t bother you when you are innocent”…..a very chilling statement by Rogan that goes to the core of the evil nature of Facism. The main group in power defines what “innocent” means. If we all have chips in us and we are fitting in with the group in power we will live in hell. And this goes both ways people. Please no argument here. You can be hunted down by a right wing dictatorship as by a lefty dictatorship.

  5. Locking nuclear waste that takes five hundred thousand years for half of it to break down in concrete that only takes five hundred years to disintergrate doesn't seem like an entirely effective solution. How big is the area that a coke can of high grade nuclear waste would kill?

If our justice system was concerned the truth instead of winning there would be far less innocent people going to jail.The prosecution wants to win,above all else.The defense wants to win above all else.The judge has to determine that nobody gets outside the rules and the jurors are swayed by both sides.Where’s the TRUTH!Evidence that will 100% prove the absolute truth,one way or another,can be withheld by a technicality.😎🇺🇸

  8. Give Rogan a break. Obviously, the gentleman scholar Pinker respects Rogan enough to go on his podcast. Has Rogan ever made illogical claims – demonstrated a lack of objectivity? Yes, and so have you, but you’re fortunate it wasn’t broadcast all over the world. Rogan has grown and matured. Overall, he’s a fair, objective, very honest individual who like everyone else, displays his humanity.

  15. As Pinker & Joe R. discuss the problems with storing nuclear waste the increased seismic activity in Cascades around Mt. Rainier and St. Helen (both in WA) are literally sending underground shockwaves toward infamous 1950’s nuclear burial Hanford area in Washington State where a decade ago was a collapsed tunnel in which a long train (a 1950’s military damn decision) with nuclear waste was permanently shut in. As the tunnel began to collapse the already rusty and structurally compromised containers began to leak the nuclear waste. In 2008-2012 Obama WH put about $6 bln to erase the “nuclear footprint” recognizing that the Tricities WA area has grown significantly and the agriculture will be destroyed if the Hanford waste site gets into public’s attention. Fukushima is poisoning Washington and Oregon fishing industry. The Hanford site has a capacity to poison the entire Northwest. Nobody talks about Hanford as it’s a taboo.

  16. I'm on the right and yes, I'm not a believer that "climate change" will end civilization, 30 years ago was it? And climate change used to be global warming but that changed too. So if I believe in climate change and we raise taxes and change US laws, we then change the temp of the earth and get to live longer?
    I love how JR can pigeon hole someone's values and thoughts because of what way they swing on the political spectrum.

  18. Say what you will about Joe Rogan’s beliefs, about an hour into the interview Pinker admits to believing Loftus’s claims about memory. Has he never looked at the methodology or actual results of her “studies”? 🙄

  19. This is the strangest pairing I have ever witnessed in any media. One is a data driven, evidence based genius, a master of his craft. The other is impulsive, guided exclusively by instinct.
