  1. Not the best of interviews. I think you're scratching the bottom of the barrel. A yoga instructor gets her Phd from Pacifica Graduate Institute, known for being a pioneer in "wokeness", identity politics and defunding the police. She publishes her 150 page abstruse dissertation in a book costing $50. She doesn't bring out anything of consequence in the interview. and I just have to wonder what possessed you Alex to interview her.

  2. Great guest but feel like you only scratched the surface and went instead into too many irrelevant sidetracks especially regarding the Belgian paedophile scandal. And for someone who wants to avoid materialist answers you do seem overly keen to defend capitalism. But appreciated the show and only wish it was 3 hours instead of just 50 minutes.

  3. Honey, it's not capitalism but western culture, where shallowness and cheap reward systems are considered as the optimal way of functioning. Whatever western culture touches turns into cheap nothing. For me an epiphany was when working for a dodgy corporate call center where the corporate HR wanted to force employees to practice mindfulness for 5 minutes in the morning, just before getting on the phones and selling shit to vulnerable people.

  4. I have Jung's "The Psychology of Kundalini Yoga" on my book shelf. My reading queue is stacked and I haven't gotten around to that one. More interested in getting into it now.

Edit: After resuming reading this book one thing that strikes me about Jung's interpretation of the Chakra system is his use of the term 'unconscious mind'. He almost seems to be saying the spiritual journey is an exploration of the unconscious. My first understanding of the term unconscious mind was that it is entirely personal with maybe some collective archetypes. Where as now I am beginning to see the equation of unconscious mind with the spiritual quest as a more inclusive and integral understanding. It is as if it is the Unconscious Divine Mind that lies within us.

  5. Idk if Jung, Patanjali, and the seat of consciousness was discussed as much as it could of been. Seemed to get derailed into personal hangups with the shadow of spiritual organizations.

  6. Joining inner perspectives with the sciences . . .
