Postmodern art – a body of art movements that sought to contradict some aspects of modernism or some aspects that emerged or developed in its aftermath. In general, movements such as intermedia, installation art, conceptual art and multimedia, particularly involving video are described as postmodern.
The “Permorative” art piece is one of the most daring styles of art because of the “in the moment” nature of the art. Replicas such as this video can always be created, but they will never be as impactful as the original experience of being there for it live, and watching the performer’s passion in motion. Being able to react in real time and even be able to contribute is an experience wholly lost through the medium oh pre-recorded video. Hopefully, the message is not too diluted via this form of broadcast, and you can still enjoy the roughly 2 hours of performative art made for you, the viewer.
