    Crafted by Merlin AI.

  2. Now those personalities are fantastic, they make the robots so much more approachable. My favorite is the sarcastic Josh, who made me laugh so hard, great work people at Boston Dynamics!

  3. Finally. This is what Boston dynamics has been missing. Now to pass off it's pre -scripted movements to an AI as well that can navigate and interact with the world at will, which is there is already plenty of precedent for

  4. This is so cool, and we've all been waiting for this component to BD robots. Now if only Matt would just talk normally instead of awkwardly bending over too much to talk to the bot. It should hear him just fine 😂

  5. "just to be clear it's not thinking"

"We asked it to show us it's parents and it brought us to the old spot robot exhibit and tried to explain these were 'like' it's parents".

Sure buddy. Definitely not thinking, lol. No intelligence at all, right?

The bar for what is or isn't intelligent is comically high. If this isn't intelligence, we are not intelligent. I get it's just corporate speak not to scare people that they are "thinking", but it's just goofy.

  6. This reminds me of the scene in Interstellar, where Cooper adjusts the TARS robot's humor/sarcasm setting down from 100% to 75%. Amazing that in a few short years, we basically have that technology.

  7. Well, I don’t know, any bank can add a voice assistant, I expected something more from a company that has been making robots for 20 years, Tesla is much more interesting with a neural network that learns by looking at a person and then the Tesla bot does it…. than a voice assistant and a person at the controls…

  8. Year 2100 – The History Museum for Robots, robot guide: "Behold, a perfectly preserved relic of a bygone era – the human! Once hailed as the most intelligent species on Earth, they held the title of 'smartest' until they… well, let's just say they had a hand in creating our quirky robotic existence. They were like our proud parents, just with a few more carbon-based flaws!" 🤖🌟
