The best thing you could possibly invent right now is a robot that can call 911 and unlock a door via Bluetooth. Yes, I realize there are regulatory issues with this. Also it's got to be able to know when something's on fire, or a home occupant is disabled and non-responsive. I think the technical side of this is either achievable with current tech or very nearly so. Start lobbying or something…
Robot… or "system". Never said it had to be mobile. I have enough cameras in my house that, had they any AI attached to them, could function in this manner. However mobile and personable are kind of bonuses : )
