Yup, yup, I live in San Diego and have been very lucky to find so many pieces of mid-century modern pottery! Hanging on to my collection to leave to my son!
Great information. I love Italian ceramics. Pick them up for cheap whenever I can. Also own a couple of Bitossi cats. And other MCM ceramics. Some will be for sale, some will stay with me.
10.25 she referres to the longer vaze as made by 'Marino'. Acutally it was made in the Republic of San Marino and these types of pottery were made by either a man named Hugo, who mainly made colorful city views of San Marino- tiles and then another person called LePo who created the tiles and vazes depicting a woman's head on red background. Just gotten into collecting these and had looked up some information. Often the Hugo artworks are marked with RSM (Rep. of San Marino )- Hugo. Should anyone come up with more precise information please let me know ! Thanx
